The vision of Design-Logo.co.uk
This site was created to help educate Business, individuals and Designers about the importance of a Logo Design to an Identity or Brand. This Identity could be for a Company, a one man or woman Business, a rock band or even a single page blog. It does not matter what or who the Identity is being built for the process of building an Identity is basically the same. Throughout these pages the necessary information will be provided such as the Cost of a Brand / Identity, the importance of colours, the use of a Symbol, how to maintain excellent colour reproduction with regard to printing methods and lots more.
Online Business or Local Designer?
There are two strong opinions when it comes to employing a local Designer or an Online Logo Design Business. An Online Business will usually Cost less than a local Designer as the use of the internet means that such Online Services can provide a dynamic and efficient Service without the face to face consultations that demand lots of expensive time. The Cost of a local Studio may also Cost more due to expensive Business premises that have to be paid for. However the other side of the argument is just as strong as it is certainly advantageous to have face to face consultations with a Logo Designer especially when it comes to discussing and choosing pantone colours. It is also good for Businesses to build a strong local Business network and support the local community. The best and fairest way to make the decision between a local or Online Designer is to look at their Portfolio. If the Portfolio is full of excellent work and the Price is reasonable then that is usually a good sign that you have found the right individual or Business to create your new Identity.
Corporate / Brand Colours
Colours are often picked at random or by personal preference when it comes to Logo Design but the truth is the colours of a Brand will be noticed before any symbols or words are perceived. This is not to say that a strong Symbol or a Creative use of Typography will go unnoticed, certainly not. The point is the Colour is usually not given the importance it deserves and that the Colours form a strong part of the Identity.
